In real life, I was head of the class for about a year back in high school, when I was 15. Although it was a nice experience and I have sweet memories of it, I genuinely consider myself not an incisive leader irl, I'm not fit to coordinate people. I prefer by far cooperating with other on an equal level, both back in school and currently at university. On the server, I recently became King of Lothlorien, but I consider myself to be more of a guidance figure than a ruler.    What do you excel at? Well, I wish I had the ability and clarity to notice exactly what I excel at :) , but I consider myself to be quite a decent builder. I'd say I also enjoy helping other people a lot, especially new players.    How familiar are you with the Lord of the Rings mod?  I've been playing the Lord of the Rings mod for 7 years, I feel like I'm pretty familiar with it.    What is an example of personal growth you have done recently?  In other words, is there something you weren't so great at before, that you worked on and improved over time? I feel like I've been going through a lot of changes in my life recently, having moved out of my childhood home to live by myself, learning how to conduct myself in totally new enviroments. I'm quite a shy, introverted person and I like to keep mostly to myself, so I still find it difficult from time to time, but I am pretty satisfied with how things went in the recent months.  What is your role in the community, currently?  Reflect upon how actively you chat and interact with other players in the community, in addition think about the topics that come up; is it TOR related or on a more personal scale? Since I've joined this server, I mostly worked on my base in Lothlorien, trying to build quite an enjoyable base for myself and later for friends and other players to enjoy. I consider myself quite interactive with other people playing tor, having attended a bunch of really nice events and trying to be online as much as possible so far. I am aware I'm a relatively new entry on TOR, but I feel pretty comfortable in the community at the moment.    The last time you found yourself in a disagreement with another player, how did you approach it? I sometimes found myself in little arguments with other players. When a player enabled conquest kills within Lothlorien's biome, I asked him privately to cease his actions, maybe a little too firmly, but I did not take action in return or lose my temper. It all went good in the end. I think it's useful and important to keep arguments on civil and reasonable tones.    Naturally, not everything is perfect on TOR; what do you think needs improvement? Tor is quite enjoyable to play. The rules aren't too strict, there are many gaming opportunities and the overall structure is good. The relatively small amount of active players makes it difficult to bring any significant improvements at the moment (like more events and a wider variety of factions), I do seriously hope that will be considered if the server were to rise in popularity. One thing I'd suggest would be to speed the process for the server partial reset so that the looted and griefed chunks may return to their original form. That would by far improve the gaming experience for all.    Lastly, what motivates you to continue playing and to apply to the staff team? I honestly feel so at home when playing Tor. Of all the servers I've been in, both modded and vanilla, this is where I enjoyed (and still enjoy) playing the most. I've met wonderful people online, Oscar and Cordy above all, which I can now consider to be dear friends. The purpose of improving my builds and starting new projects motivates me to continue playing this server and to be part of this heartwarming community. I am applying for helper role because I'd like to dedicate myself to other people on a higher level. This would be my way to show my gratefulness to this server.

In real life, I’ve gained significant leadership and teamwork experience. During my time in Scouts, I served as a patrol leader, where I was responsible for resolving disputes, planning activities, and delegating responsibilities to other troop members. At university, I often take on leadership roles in group projects, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard and on time. In addition to these, I’ve had practical teamwork experiences. My role as part of the TOR staff team taught me how to collaborate effectively and handle challenges within the community (hello again!). Outside of TOR, I play football regularly, which sharpens my teamwork and communication skills. One particularly challenging experience was participating in Dragnet 2023. This involved traveling and surviving as a team of four for 36 hours without shelter, avoiding hunters, and navigating to a target location. Teamwork was critical during this event, especially when personal morale dropped—we had to motivate each other to keep going. What do you excel at? I excel in technical aspects such as commands, plugins, and other game mechanics. Additionally, my time as a TOR staff member and skills developed in my job have made me proficient in conflict de-escalation. I also enjoy refining and improving ideas that others bring to the table, helping to shape them into something even better. How familiar are you with the Lord of the Rings mod? I have been playing the mod since the summer of 2016. What is an example of personal growth you have done recently? Recently, I’ve significantly improved my time management and consistency. I’ve developed the habit of thoroughly completing daily checklists at work and the gym. For 2025, I’m making a conscious effort to arrive at events on time, breaking the habit of being 10–20 minutes late, which was common for me in 2024. What is your role in the community currently? I actively engage with the community in server chat and on Discord. I like to think of myself as a knowledgeable and approachable member who enjoys helping others. Whether it’s resolving queries, sharing crafting recipes, or giving advice, I strive to maintain a positive and helpful presence within the TOR community. The last time you found yourself in a disagreement with another player, how did you approach it? I can’t recall a specific instance off the top of my head, but I have developed a general approach to resolving disagreements since the open letter incident. I begin by speaking directly with the player—whether through /w, Discord DMs, or public chat—to find a resolution that works for both parties. If this isn’t possible, I either move on from the disagreement or involve staff if a rule has been violated. Naturally, not everything is perfect on TOR; what do you think needs improvement? I think the longer-term events on TOR, such as seasons or the Utumno invasion, have been excellent. I’d love to contribute to more of these large-scale, time-intensive events. Additionally, I’d like to revisit some of the fixes I discussed with Vand, Mido, and Fox, implementing them as part of the staff team. "[Traveler]" as the default tag on TOR I would also update to "[Traveller]" so as to keep it in line with British English spelling and how it is spelled on TSR. What motivates you to continue playing and apply to the staff team? I love TOR. It has always held a special place in my heart, and I want to give back to the community that has meant so much to me. Although I’ve come and gone in the past, I’ve returned with plans and motivations to stay long-term. As I’m now in my third year of university, I’ve settled down a bit and spend more time gaming at home. I was grinding alignment and goofing around with fellow esteemed legacy player socthemat, and in response to a strange looking ent I used a word that never should have been said as I did not think any staff were online but someone was on console and stopped me. I knew better and regardless of how i used it, I made a severe and inexcusable lapse in my judgement by saying the "N" word, I deserved to be punished permanently but I was graciously given a seven day ban instead, and I will not use such language again on TOR from this point forward. I apologize for any distress I may have caused and I understand if this appeal is not accepted. Thank you for your time. Chill_LAX_er
