THE HOLIDAY. THE ONE AND ONLY. CHRISTMAS. BULDING. (CONTEST). EXTRAVAGAAAAAAANZAAAAAA! (Now playing in a cinema near you)! This year marks the 9th (NINETHFTH) time that we fight to the brink of death for the sake of the festivities.... and we're turning the heat up-- literally! (or frfr ong as the youth would say). Beckons ye closer.. Picture it. 2024. An Arid Christmas. Look ahead, endless wastelands, golden steppes, blue skies, or sun-scorched sand between your toes. From the vibrant oasesesi of the Haradrim, the desolate beauty of Far Harad's badlands, or the very rugged planes of Mr. Khand himself. Bring the holiday spirit to the driest corners of Middle-Earth, are you up to hydrate!? HOW TO PARTICIPATE Let us make haste and grab thy tools to enter! Oh, but also do these things: 1. Sign up! You can do this through the forums, or by messaging a staff member! 2. Get your plot assigned. Already have a favourite plot in mind? Be sure to mention that in ^.STEP 1.^ 3. Start building! (You are NOT insured against building accidents on /warp Christmas grounds). Whatever you make, be sure it is on theme! An Arid Christmas is a broad theme, so what will you make of it? A festive Haradric Fortress? A lit up caravan crossing the desert sands? Perhaps a glowing oasis filled with classic holiday cheer? What about a wasteland winter bazaar, buzzling with nomads from all around? The possibilities are as vast as the lands themselves (very). Still can't figure out? Get some inspiration from the previous contestants at /warp Christmas! JUDGING CRITERIA Your builds will be judged on four categories, each scored as 1-5. 1. Originality: how unique and imaginative is your build? 2. Technique: The craftsmanship of your design. 3. Story/Funny: Does your build tell a tale or bring a smile to the judges' faces? 4. Theme: How well did you capture the spirit of an Arid Christmas? The three builds with the highest scores will be the winners! Be sure to read the rules below to stay in line with them! RULES
The event will last a couple of weeks starting Today (NOW). During this time, you may build on your plot to create your best possible Arid Christmas themed build! At the end of the event, staff will judge and select the top 3 who will receive prizes!
You may add friends to your plot but only one prize per plot will be given out!
Building materials are NOT provided.
WE/VS/Staff Help will not be used to construct the builds! Everything must be done by hand.
It is allowed to change the borders of your plot. (Oh, also, we're doing Silver-banner size limits again! There's no limit to how high or low you can go, but don't cross the border)!
